Empire of the Mongols, documentary

I saw this film a few years ago, I am glad to find it again. A very interesting documentary about Chinggis khaan. Although he was the founder of the biggest empire that ever existed, that's not what fascinates me. What fascinates me about this guy is that in 1220 he founded the first Mongolian capital, a cosmopolitan city that was a melting pot of different cultures and religions. An illiterate man himself, he understood the importance of having a script, so the Uyghur alphabet was introduced to Mongolian culture and thus the first code of law was written. He fostered an exchange of trade and culture with the surrounding nations. A very just man, he didn't judge a person by his origin, but by the skills and knowledge.
